SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ultrasound diagnostics, and can be used in the differential diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and chronic pancreatitis. For this, endoscopic ultrasonography of the pancreas is performed and the patient's endosonograms are compared with 6 reference texture endosonograms. A reference texture sonogram is added to each reference sonogram, and the ordinal scale of texture sonogram numbers is replaced by an interval scale S1, according to which the functions of membership in pancreatitis μ_п(S1) classes are determined, indefinite classification μ_н(S1) and pancreatic cancer μ_p(S1), which are calculated using original formulas. Confidence in the studied classes of diseases is determined by original mathematical expressions. Then, according to the interval scale built for 8 contour sonograms, membership functions are calculated according to certain formulas. The decision on the patient's belonging to one of the studied classes of states is made according to the maximum value . At l=n the patient has chronic pancreatitis, if l=n the patient has undefined classification, if l=p the patient has pancreatic cancer.

EFFECT: method provides the most accurate differential diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer, which, in turn, allows you to prescribe adequate treatment regimens, reducing the mortality rate of patients.
