FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics and covers treatment of patients suffering from chronic lower limb osteomyelitis. Sequestrnecrectomy is followed with applying a frame on the wound with pins moving relative to the wound managed by approximating its edges by moving the pins. After the wound is conditioned with inflammation signs including hyperemia, edge hypostasis, fibrin deposit, moderate seropurulent discharge without apparent necroses, the wound is closed by single-step edge approximation if the nidus is sized 3 cm or lower, and by step-by-step approximation, if the nidus exceeds 3 cm.
EFFECT: prevented hematoma and wound infection, more rapid healing times of the postoperative wound.
