FIELD: engineering industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to railroad automation, and can be used in interval control systems of underground train movement for adjusting and checking operability of track circuits. Determining switching moment of current generator of automatic speed control (ASC) and moment of train position at the beginning of track circuit (TC) by specific ASC signal value change is the basis of the proposed method. When the train moves at specified constant speed along the portion of line, the signal supplied from train coils is recorded uninterruptedly. In data processing and scanning mode as per step-wise signal change there fixed is ASC current generator switching moment, and taking into account the system response time there calculated is TC shunting start time under normal mode conditions. As per minimum signal level there fixed is TC shunting mode start time. Additional TC shunting zone is determined as the product of train movement speed by difference of moments of shunting mode start and TC shunting start under normal mode conditions.

EFFECT: improving efficiency and accuracy of additional shunting zone measuring process.
