FIELD: railway automation and telemechanics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation and telemetry, namely, to methods of measuring train shunt resistance. Method of measuring resistance of a train shunt consists in the fact that before the start of operation or during technical maintenance of the electric track circuit at the point of connection to it of the equipment of the receiving end of the track circuit: measuring the voltage value in the normal operating mode, which is numerically equal to the electromotive force value of the equivalent generator and the open circuit voltage value at the receiving end of the rail circuit in the normal operating mode; measuring the short-circuit current value at the rail line short circuit at the rail circuit receiving end equipment connection point; resistance value of equivalent generator is calculated as ratio of value of open-circuit voltage at receiving end in normal mode of rail circuit operation to value of short-circuit current at short circuit of track line at point of connection to it of equipment of receiving end of rail circuit. Further, during operation of the rail circuit in the shunt operating mode of the rail circuit, continuously: measuring the voltage value on the train shunt as a voltage value at the connection point of the equipment of the receiving end of the rail circuit; train shunt resistance is calculated as ratio of product of voltage on train shunt and resistance value of equivalent generator to difference between value of electromotive force of equivalent generator and voltage value on train shunt.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of measuring the resistance value of the train shunt.
