FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and armor protection and can be used for manufacturing of personal protection equipment and also for armor protection of cars, special carriages and other lightly armoured machinery. Steel contains carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, vanadium, sulfur, phosphor, niobium, copper and iron, at following ratio of components , wt %: carbon 0.47 - 0.52, silicon 0.50 - 0.80, manganese 0.30 - 0.50, chromium 1.20 - 1.50, nickel 0.90 - 1.20, molybdenum 0.75 - 0.85, vanadium 0.18 - 0.28, niobium 0.02 - 0.05, copper ≤ 0.30, sulfur ≤ 0.01, phosphor ≤ 0.01, iron is the rest.
EFFECT: increasing of persistence of armor protection facilities, ballisticproof and fragmentation protective in combination with reduced inclination for forming of secondary debris with influence of modern weapons.
