FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of machine building, namely to propulsion engineering and may be used in production and diagnostics of fuel pumps, and namely to correctors of fuel pumps. Unpowered bench is used to determine diesel rotation frequency, control lever is changed to position of maximum rotation frequency of fuel pump camshaft, and rotation frequency of corrector shutdown is determined, obtained data is compared to normative data, and necessity of pump corrector adjustment is defined, indicator is installed, which interacts with fuel pump rack, fuel pump camshaft is brought to nominal rotation frequency, afterwards fuel pump camshaft rotation frequency is reduced until indicator actuates, fuel pump camshaft rotation frequency is defined, which corresponds to the moment of correction action start.
EFFECT: simplified tests of fuel pump and increased accuracy of measurement of fuel pump camshaft rotation frequency, which corresponds to beginning of corrector action.
