FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed speed governor has housing, drive shaft, two control racks of fuel injection pump, flyweight holder, flyweights hinge- mounted in holder, flyweight sleeve installed for sliding along drive shaft axis, lever installed for turning in housing and mechanically coupled with sleeve and first control rack of fuel injection pump. Governor lever is hinge mounted in housing for engagement with the latter through adjusting screw. Control lever is installed for turning in housing for interaction with governor lever through spring. Bell crank of control racks is mechanically coupled with both control racks of fuel injection pump. Governor is furnished with proportional electromagnet installed for engagement with one of control racks of fuel injection pump, also with control rack position pickup rigidly installed in housing, diesel engine crankshaft speed transmitter and electronic control unit.
