FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of continuously drying solid organic substances in aqueous phase or mixed phase (water/organic solvent) involves stages for continuous feeding a stream of the said substances into a continuous running turbo drier, which consists of a cylindrical pipe-shaped body, provided with a heating jacket, whose ends are closed by covers, made with inlet and outlet openings and provided with an impeller, coaxially fitted for rotation in it at a rate of 200-1500 rpm, so as to obtain, from the turbo drier, a continuous output stream of dried powder material and vapour, the temperature of which is above 100°C. The method also involves feeding the said continuous stream of the dried powdered material and vapour into at least, one separating device for separating the powdered material from the vapour, releasing a continuous stream of powdered material and a continuous stream of vapour, which is fed into the turbo drier once more. The pressure of vapour inside the turbo drier and the separating device is kept constant and on such a level which provides for complete absence of oxygen or, in any case, prevents ignition of the powdered material due to continuous release of volume of vapour below the separating device, corresponding to volume of vapour generated in the turbo drier. The system for implementing the method consists of a continuous running turbo drier, consisting of a cylindrical pipe-shaped body, provided with a heating jacket, whose butt ends are closed by covers, with at least one inlet opening (23) for the above mentioned solid organic substances in aqueous phase or mixed phase and with at least, one outlet opening for the said powdered material and vapour and with an impeller, coaxially fitted for rotation in it. The system also has a separating device, consisting of a cyclone separator and/or bag filter for separating powdered material from vapour, a ventilator which is fitted such that it directs gas coming out of the separating device into the continuous running turbo drier. The system also has a device for maintaining constant pressure of vapour through release of a certain amount of gas below the ventilator, before feeding it into the continuous running turbo drier.
EFFECT: elimination of explosion hazard with reduced operation cost of the drying system.
