FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: proposed firearm holster can be used in law enforcement agencies, guarded structures, troop units etc. The holster has a body with a firearm holder over the trigger guard and an insert under the barrel of the pistol with a butt end with an opening under the barrel, fitted in the body with possibility of moving together with the breechblock along the longitudinal axis of the holster when the firearm is removed from the holster using a gun cocking gear, rigidly fixed to the holster and moveably joined with the insert. The gun cocking gear is made in form of a compression or extension spring with force directed on the insert on the exit side of the holster. The holder has a projection on a spring loaded plate, on which a projection is also made for unlocking the trigger guard when in contact with a control squeezing tapered element fitted on the insert.
EFFECT: simpler design, faster bringing of firearm into combat-ready posture, more comfortable use due to less effort required to bring the firearm into combat-ready posture.
