FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pressurised treatment of metals and may be used for producing different bent items from thin-wall pipes. Pipe bending provides for free pipe parts branching around bending pattern in the point of their contacting with the profiled working surface of the pattern. The branching includes step-by-step and sequential creation of tensile stresses with total value together with deformation stresses not exceeding critical stresses values set out for the pipe material and geometrical pipe characteristics resulting in wrinkling. At the same time, the bending pattern includes working roller with seating surface and intermediate supporting device represented with a set of single plates, which are rigidly interconnected. The lower supporting surface is implemented so that it can contact with seating surface of the working roller. The profiled working surface of the pattern is represented with a set of outer supporting single plates of the intermediate supporting device.

EFFECT: stable quality is ensured.
