FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal powder industry and may be used for production of low-carbon powdered metal-processing tools based on iron. A mixture is prepared from the powders of the following elements: graphite, chrome, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, titanium, manganese, zinc stearate and iron. The mixture is pressed and sintered in the shielded environment at 1240-1250°C. After sintering, the product is subject to hot isostatic pressing or plastic straining in hot or cold state. Then, chemical and thermal treatment is performed at 975-1000°C during 6-8 hours. Finally, the product is tempered in salt-bath furnace at 950-1000°C and discharged at 180-220°C during 1 hour.
EFFECT: improving viscosity and wear resistance.
