FIELD: powder metallurgy, possibly production of rationally alloyed material for making metal working tools.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing powdered mixture of powders of graphite, chrome, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, titanium, copper, nickel, zinc and iron stearate; pressing prepared mixture and sintering it in protection atmosphere; after sintering realizing hot isostatic pressing or plastic deforming of blank in cold or heated state; then performing chemical and heat treatment and further quenching in salt bath at 950 - 1000°C and tempering at 180 - 220° C for 1 h.
EFFECT: improved density and wear resistance of sintered tool.
