FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, namely to the manufacture of a workpiece from powder carbide steel used in the tool production of carbide plates, as well as in additive technologies. The workpiece is made by grinding and mixing the initial components of the powder mixture, followed by pressing the workpiece containing, in wt. %: carbon 1.0-1.5, manganese 1.0-1.5, vanadium 1.0-2.0, titanium 20-30, iron the rest, and step sintering. As the initial components of the powder mixture, powders obtained by separate grinding of the components with a dispersion of no more than 10 mcm are used. Pressing of the workpiece is carried out by double-sided pressing at a pressure of 100-150 MPa. The compressed workpiece is placed in a vacuum heating furnace, where its two-stage sintering is carried out with simultaneous vacuuming of the furnace working space to a pressure of 10-3 Pa, while at the first stage solid phase sintering is carried out at a temperature of 0.7-0.8 of the melting temperature of the base of the mixture, iron at a heating rate of 70-90°С/hour with an exposure of 60-90 minutes, and at the second stage liquid-phase sintering is carried out at a temperature of 0.85-0.9 of the melting temperature of the refractory component of the mixture, titanium at a speed of 100-120°С/hour with exposure time of 30-60 minutes. Then the furnace is turned off and the workpiece is cooled together with the furnace.
EFFECT: dense homogeneous structure of the material is obtained, providing high physical, mechanical and operational characteristics.
