FIELD: diffusion welding of metals and alloys under pressure at heating through intermediate layer.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of applying on one of welded sides of part surfaces intermediate layer in the form of coating of metal having affinity at least with one element of material of substrate; applying layer by thickness corresponding to metal quantity capable for diffuse completely during welding process into material of substrate for forming monolith; then assembling structure, heating it and performing diffusion welding at temperature consisting 0.9 - 0.95 of melting temperature of least refractory of diffusing metal; at welding applying pressure to structure for promoting diffusion processes in welded joint. Parts may be of chrome-nickel stainless steel. One of welded surfaces may have turnings. Intermediate layer of copper may be applied onto welded surface through nickel layer of the same thickness as copper layer. Thickness of each of said layers may be 1 - 2 micrometers.
EFFECT: elimination of deformation of welded surfaces and shrinkage of welded joint.
