FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: medium composition according to invention contains feeding medium suitable for tested aerobic pathogen growth, antibiotic representing 7,9-substituted tetracycline, adjuvant, such as cysteine, thioglycolate, ascorbic acid, pyruvate, catalase, and oxygen-reducing agents, isolated from cytoplasmic membranes of microorganisms. Amount of adjuvant introduced into medium composition varies from 0.0005% to 5.0% wt/vol. In medium composition version amount of adjuvant varies from 0.5% to 10.05%.
EFFECT: introduction of adjuvant in compositions of media for detecting antibiotic sensitivity of aerobic pathogens stabilises test medium and eliminates deviations in sensitivity analysis in analysis which applies antibiotics of tetracycline family.
