SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and is intended to prevent or treat a topical microbial infection in a subject. Method uses a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising a polyester ionophore selected from narasin, salinomycin, lasalocid, monensin, semduramicin, maduramicin and laidlomycin, or a therapeutically acceptable salt thereof, and a chelating agent. Also described is a device comprising a composition in a form for topical use.
EFFECT: group of inventions widens the range of therapeutic agents.
