FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocket systems and can be used in developing composite-material casings of solid-propellant rocket engines. Forming the solid-propellant rocket engine bottom heat-protection coating proceeds as follows. First extruded rubber material tape is wound on the mandrel end face circular ledge to make a reel so that the tape ends come in contact with the mandrel, thus forming the heat-protection coating profile. The latter produced, the casing with bottom is formed by winding their elements up, which is followed by polymerisation of a binder in final structure. In compliance with this invention, the heat-protection coating is formed by winding two doubled tapes, one of them being made from the 1.2 kg/dm3-density erosion-proof rubber material while the other one represents the 0.9 kg/dm3-density heat-resistance rubber material.
EFFECT: reduced weight of heat-protection coating thanks to lower optimum mean-integral density.
