FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pipeline transporting, mainly, transporting oil and oil products, and is designed for pipeline shutdown at repair with replacement of defect section. An inflatable plug is made in form of a circular elastic casing enclosed between movable and stationary disks assembled on the axis presented by a pipe. Openings are made in the walls of the pipe passing through the elastic casing. On both sides of the elastic casing there are arranged flanges for fixing the casing from axial displacement. A compression spring is installed between the flange and the movable disk; with its one end the compression spring is secured to the flange, while with another end it is freely rests on the disk. Back valves are installed on the ends of the pipe; one of the valves is connected to the movable disk by means of a lever, the other valve is connected with a source of a working agent.
