FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: inventions are designed for heat exchanging and can be used in heat engineering. The method of protecting a heat exchanger consists in the following: steam produced in the end part of pipes is directed via a channel from an outlet chamber into an upper part of an expansion tank; while liquid heat exchanging carrier is directed from the lower portion of the expansion tank into an inlet chamber or in an inlet pipe near the inlet chamber by means of a return channel. A heat power boiler contains the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger contains a cooler of fuel gas with plastic pipes assembled in a counter flow in a heat exchanging connection with fuel gases of the heat power boiler. The pipes for heat return are connected with the inlet chamber to the inlet pipe; while with their outlet chamber they are connected to the outlet pipe, which together with the heater create the circuit, where liquid heat exchanging carrier is subject to re-circulation. The protecting circuit contains an expansion tank. The inlet chamber is connected to the upper part of the expansion tank by means of the channel, while the lower part of the expansion tank is connected directly to the inlet chamber or to the inlet pipe near the inlet chamber by means of the return channel.
EFFECT: facilitating protection of heat exchanger from effects caused by boiling of heat exchanging carrier.
