SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the power generation methods. The method of power generation by burning of carbon containing fuels and capture of CO2 where the recirculated cooling water from the direct contact cooler in the recirculation pipe (16) is cooled in the heat exchanger (17) which is located in the recirculation pipe (16). Into the pipe (16) the cooling water is supplied and is taken away respectively through the water recirculation pipes (70, 70') connected to the heat exchanger (17). The water which is taken away from the heat exchanger (17) through the recirculation line (70') is throttled through the throttling valve (73) and the expansion tank (74). From the expansion tank (74) water is taken away through the line (78) for recirculation of water as washing water into the direct contact cooler of the stripping column (66). Steam in the stripping tank is injected as additional stripping evaporation steam into the stripping column through the line (77) for steam connected to the expansion tank (74).
EFFECT: providing the maximum heat removal.
