METHOD OF BURYING UNDERWATER OBJECTS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G21F9/24

Abstract RU 2355058 C1

FIELD: physics, nuclear physics.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to burying dangerous wastes and can be used for storing dangerous wastes, which are at the bottom of different water bodies. The method of underwater burying includes delivering of components of the excavating mixture, their mixing, descending hydro-transportation of the obtained mixture to the object of burial. Before the concreting procedure the dirt covering the object is removed and passed through an ascending pipeline to a loading-exchange apparatus aboard the floating craft. In the apparatus the dirt is divided to sludge and grain fractions, and then the grain material is forcibly removed from the apparatus by gas or gas-liquid streams in the mixture with solidifying materials from the descending pipe. Concreting is further carried out by sequential substitution of the amount of removed dirt for the formation of a solid mixture. The sludge is also separated from the apparatus and returned to the already concreted burial area. The method proposed for burying allows for the use of the bottom deposits during preparation of the mixture for covering dangerous wastes, and carry out distribution at the bottom part of the sludge, which is formed during the preparation of the solidifying mixture.

EFFECT: possibility of using the bottom deposits during preparation of the mixture for covering dangerous wastes, and carry out distribution at the bottom part of the sludge, this is formed during the preparation of the solidifying mixture.
