FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: in preoperational period, short-latent somatosensory evoked potentials are recorded under bilateral stimulation of median nerve, and complex N20-P23 amplitudes of right and left cerebral hemispheres are measured; first-priority surgery operation is conducted on the side with significantly lower value of complex N20-P23 amplitude.
EFFECT: method increases choice reliability of first-priority surgery operation side.
