METHOD FOR PREDICTING BRAIN SUBSTANCE ASYMPTOMATIC INJURY IN ANGIORECONSTRUCTIVE OPERATIONS ON CAROTID ARTERIES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G01N33/72

Abstract RU 2711414 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to neurology, and can be used for prediction of brain substance asymptomatic injury in carotid angioreconstructive operations in the patients without previous diabetes mellitus. For this purpose, prior to the angioreconstructive operation in the patient, blood is sampled for glycated hemoglobin of type HbA1c and if its value is 7.8 % and more, the risk of the asymptomatic damage of the cerebral substance is predicted in the angioreconstructive operations on the carotid arteries.

EFFECT: invention provides high-accuracy prediction of the brain substance asymptomatic injury in the above patients, which contributes to timely effective rational neurometabolic therapy.
