LONG BONE OSTEOCYSTOMA AND TUMOUR TREATMENT METHOD Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B17/56 

FIELD: medicine; orthopaedics and traumatology.

SUBSTANCE: long bone ganglions and tumour are treated with delivering the pins at the interface of epiphysial tumour growth zone and osteotomy within healthy and modified bone tissue. Intraosseous canal is formed simultaneously with resection of pathological nidus herewith preserving the cortical layer. It is followed with osteoperforation of bone cavity on its perimetre, a longitudinal linear section of cortical walls of a pathological site of a bone with introducing the healthy bone fragment with circularly distant cortical layer to bone cavity. Longitudinal cortical wedges are incised on perimetre of the introduced bone end with circular constriction (compression) of distal bone. Compression distraction osteosynthesis with Ilizarov's apparatus is combined with forming distraction regenerate.

EFFECT: restored limb function, eliminated shortening of limb, reduced injuries, prevented postoperative complications, and reduced treatment time.
