FIELD: welding works.
SUBSTANCE: present invention can be used in brazing component parts, consisting of thin walled parts made from high-strength steel, particularly in aviation and space technology. An object is heated to 900°C - 1000°C for 3 to 8 minutes. The surface is then opened in an alkaline medium for a period of 1 to 2 hours and etched in a hydrogen-containing medium for a period of 1 to 2 hours.
EFFECT: method provides for a reliable, quality brazed joint due to thermal treatment of objects, taking into consideration content of doping elements in the steel, and the nature of formation of oxides with minimal change in the thickness of the object.
