SUBSTANCE: invention relates to supporting device (10) designed to produce load-dependent supporting force and intended, for example, for civil aircraft suspended luggage racks (12). Proposed device (10) comprises bracket (20) with its one end attached to the load-bearing structure to revolve about axle (P), while its other end can be connected to the member whereto the supporting force should be applied. There is pneumatic spring (22), its one end being hinged to bracket (20) and the other one being hinged to one end of swinging lever (24), the other end of which is hinged to load-bearing strip (18). Note here that aforesaid swinging lever can turn relative to load-bearing strip (18). Driving device (46) serves to turn swinging lever (24) between its first and second extreme positions depending upon load measured by a load-measuring appliance interacting with aforesaid driving device (46).
EFFECT: device capable of producing supporting force, depending upon luggage rack load.
