SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft and the upper swivel blocks of the baggage compartments for storage. A swivel block of the baggage compartment contains an upper casing, a box forming an interior space, and turning units. The upper casing includes a solid rear section and the first and the second side panel. The first turning unit is functionally connected to the first side panel and the box. The second turning unit is functionally connected to the second side panel and the box. Wherein the first and the second turning unit is axially aligned along the pivot axis.
EFFECT: invention increases the storage volume, reduces weight and part count of the whole swivel block of the baggage compartment.
