FIELD: treatment facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the water washing units to remove hydrogen sulphide from gases and produce elemental sulphur and can be used in recovery, processing and delivery of gas to the customer. The hydrogen sulphide removing unit for gas sweetening comprises inlet 14 and outlet 15 separators, apparatus 1 functioning as an absorber and regenerator, compressor 16, distributors of gas 9 and air 10, sulphur extraction unit 13, supply and discharge pipes 17-26. Vertical baffle 2 dividing the apparatus into absorption zone and regeneration zone is fitted in the apparatus. The lower baffle edge is spaced from the apparatus bottom. The absorption and regeneration zones are interconnected by overflows 3 and 4 through an overflow inlet opening in the baffle of one zone and outlet opening - in the other zone. The overflow inlet openings in the baffle are made lower than the absorbent level in the apparatus. The overflow outlet openings are made lower than the gas and air distributors. The upper part of the apparatus is equipped by pipe connections for the withdrawal of the purified gas 11 and used air 12 from the absorption and regeneration zones respectively. The upper part of regeneration zone is fitted with an air control valve connected to the pressure sensor set in the upper part of the apparatus absorption zone.

EFFECT: invention provides for the improvement of gas purification from hydrogen sulphide and oxygen.
