FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to turbine construction and can be used in design of turbines for nuclear power plants. Moisture separator contains turning knee-bend included into steampipe which knee bend consists of sector rings installed sequentially along steam path. Between knee-bend rings and at joints of rings with pipeline moisture-suction slits are made. In each pair of adjacent rings on the next ring in the direction of stem travel, moisture-retention threshold is installed positioned along length of corresponding moisture-suction slit. Sector rings are interconnected by buckles distributed along the length of each moisture-suction slit. Buckles provide knee-bend strength and optimal slit width. Moist-steam flow containing condensed and wall-film moisture sequentially flows around sector rings in knee-bend. Most part of wall-film moisture is torn off by cocurrent steam flow from the surface of larger flection knee-bend and deposits on opposite surface of smaller flection knee-bend integrating with film moisture flowing over it in centrifugal force field. At sector ring joints, moisture together with part of steam enters chamber via moisture-suction slits due to centrifugal force field action.
EFFECT: removing virtually all film moisture from steam flow.
