FIELD: blasting operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition designed to combat avalanches, and can be used for artificial avalanches at given time and in a given spatial region of a mountainous area. Avalanche protection projectile comprises a body made of an ordered set of flexible elements impregnated with binder material, equipped with an explosive substance, as well as a head or bottom fuse. Flexible elements forming the housing are laid on the explosive charge contained in it in the form of several layers of the cross winding in the direction opposite to the projectile rotation during its flight to the target, and high-energy composition, e.g. nitrocellulose, trinitrotoluene is used as binder of their material. Non-metallic fibers or tape can be used as flexible elements.
