SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of digital equipment, in particular to devices for transformation of unidirectional analog-digital transducers into bipolar ones. Method for generation of signal absolute value provides for performance of the following operations: - determination of inlet signal polarity; - inversion of inlet signal; - commutation of non-inverted inlet signal; - commutation of inverted inlet signal, - shift of non-inverted inlet signal phase; - summation of commuted signals. Device for generation of signal absolute value comprises two comparators, inverter, two analog switches, phase changer, summator.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of signal absolute value formation at simultaneous increase of fast action.
