FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for microwave heating of liquid dielectric mediums in reservoirs of various sizes. Device for microwave heating of liquid dielectric mediums in reservoirs comprises microwave generator connected with waveguide. Thin-wall microwave energy absorber is located in intracavity of waveguide which absorber has developed heat-exchange surface and is performed capable to transmit heated medium. The waveguide is made with holes to let its intracvity to communicate with heated medium. Microwave energy absorber may be located in lower part of waveguide. Waveguide is made of current conducting material with specific electric resistance not less than 3·10-8 Ohm·m. Butt end of waveguide may be closed by metal wall. The device may be additionally provided with case and flange for waveguide installation in reservoir. Herein, microwave generator may be located in case installed on the flange and the flange may have holes connecting case cavity with reservoir cavity.

EFFECT: improvement of dielectric medium heating efficiency, and increase in reliability of device operation.
