FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal deformation process and can be used during production of variable cross-section strips. Method includes compressing of variable cross-section strips and setting of longitudinal and transversal geometry. Compressed strips are implemented with preliminary dimensions, structure and allowance for clamping. Finished size, structure, mechanical properties and setting of longitudinal and transversal geometry are provided by allowance clamping, subject the strip to rolling with tension, including hot rolling and cold rolling with peening.
EFFECT: invention provides improvement of structure, stable properties, increasing of mechanical properties, productivity and setting quality.
