FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method includes rotation of processed part, reciprocal displacement of cutter and oscillating displacement of movable working part of cutter under action of cutting resistance forces, which affect mutually perpendicular contours, every of which includes movable part of cutter, elastic elements and body with cover. At least two parallel oscillating contours of every type are used. At that possibility is provided for movable part of cutter to make controlled axial vibrations parallel to billet axis and/or radial vibrations perpendicular to billet axis, at that every oscillating contour is arranged with the possibility of operation both in axial and radial direction. Cutter comprises body with cover and working part installed with the possibility of displacement relative to it, which are joined mutually by perpendicular oscillating contours, every of which includes set of elastic elements. In order to achieve the same technical result, it is equipped with additional oscillating contours installed parallel to the main ones. At that working part of cutter is installed in body with the possibility of displacement in axial and/or radial direction relative to processed part.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of processing and efficiency of chip crushing.
