FIELD: metalworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metalworking. Vibratory cutter for processing railway wheel sets contains a body, a cover, movable holders with replaceable cutting plates, one of which is made with the possibility of longitudinal movement with longitudinal oscillations, and the second - transverse movement with transverse oscillations, support elements placed in pairs along the said holders in directions their oscillations, and elastic elements. The housing has one seat, in which the said movable holders with replaceable cutting inserts are placed. The elastic elements are placed between the holders and the body, the holders and the cover to form oscillatory circuits.
EFFECT: reduction of the width of the cutter to generally accepted dimensions, which allows the use of tool holders available in machine tools for mounting the cutter without any modification or alteration, and an increase in the manufacturability of processing the internal surfaces of the body and cover, as well as nests for placing elastic vibroelements in them.
