SUBSTANCE: current invention relates to device for cooling, provided for implementation of tempering operation during the process of continuous annealing of flat product in the form of metallic strip, preferentially steel strip. For providing of high uniformity of mechanical properties the full width of strip device is located on practically vertical bend of rise or slope, consists spillway of overflow, in which it is a row of tubes, fully immersed into cooling medium and are stacked more or less vertically and symmetrical lengthways each side of strip, each of which is provided for ejection on strip of cooling fluid medium in the form of horizontal turbulent streams through the cut or opening row. Device contains, located in the bottom part of spillway of sealing facility overflow. Two different successive tube, located from the one side of strip are separated by equal for all tubes by clearance, chosen at setting valuation of unit rate of flow of cooling fluid medium, expressed in cubic meter per hour and for square metre of strip surface so, that minimise stream loss in discharge channel, corresponding mentioned clearance.
EFFECT: providing of high uniformity of mechanical properties the full width of strip.
