SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy field, particularly to compound of gray cast iron. Cast iron contains components in a following ratio, wt %: carbon 3.0-3.5; silicon 3.0-3.5; manganese 0.2-0.4; chrome 0.2-0.4; copper 0.7-0.9; rare-earth metals 0.05-0.09; calcium 0.003-0.005; boron 0.09-0.15; strontium 0.001-0.002; selenium 0.0001-0.0002; iron - the rest.
EFFECT: improvement of casting of gray cast iron.
