FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to mining, particularly to methods of ventilation of deep opencast mines implementing specially driven mining excavations and ventilators of main ventilation; invention can be used at mines with open excavation of mineral. The technical result is achieved like follows: in the known method of ventilation of opencast mines withdrawing of exhaust air and supply of fresh air into a zone of mining operations and into lower part of the opencast mine via driven mining excavations is performed by means of draught source replacing contaminated air from the open cast mine; withdrawal of exhaust air and supply of fresh air is carried out through vertical and horizontal mine excavations driven along the whole perimeter of the open cast mine in a broken line at the angle up to 90°; also withdrawal of exhaust air and supply of fresh air is performed with a ventilator installed on the surface at the head of the vertical mining excavation; notably, the ventilator facilitates reversal air flow.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of ventilation.
