FIELD: open pit ventilation. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling a system of vertical holes along the perimeter of open pit boundary. Length of holes equals design depth of open pit. From each bench, horizontal stands are made tangential to pit flank towards holes. Stands are made successively as open pit is deepened and engaged in operation in parallel with those earlier made. Fresh air is supplied to open pit through holes and stands to form rotary ascending air current in open pit. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
