ESTIMATE OF TISSUE ADAPTATION LEVEL TO ORGAN AND SYSTEM INCOMPETENCE BY EVALUATING COMPENSATORY PROLIFERATION OF MITOCHONDRIA IN RELATED TISSUE CELLS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G01N33/48 A61B10/00

Abstract RU 2357247 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to histology, cytology, cellular biology and concerns interpretation of mitochondria proliferation phenomenon as a component of adaption syndrome in patients suffering from various diseases. The estimate of tissue adaptation to organ and system incompetence is based on detecting the increasing absolute number of mitochondria in related tissue cells by cytochemical, histochemical and electron microscopic methods. Analysis of histochemical, histologic skeletal muscle biopsy materials and cytochemical enzyme characteristics of bioenergy lymphocytic exchange in peripheral blood shows that mitochondria proliferation is a nonspecific mechanism of tissue adaptation to organ and system incompetence.

EFFECT: application of the present method allows estimating tissue adaptation level to organ and system incompetence and performing the required medical correction; the method can be implemented in diagnostics and treatment regimen in children.
