METHOD OF EARLY PRECLINICAL DIAGNOSTICS OF ARTROPHY OF VISUAL NERVE IN TENDER AGED KIDS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61F3/00 A61B5/145

Abstract RU 2357704 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to medicine, namely, to ophthalmology. Width of retrobulbar part VN, index of intraocular blood microcirculation and intraocular saturation with oxygen is detected. There after compression probe with pressing on the eye ball with force ensuring at first appearing and than termination of pulsation in the central artery of retina. Right after the end of compression, index of intraocular blood circulation and index of intraocular oxygen saturation is measured; time of their reaching primary values is also registered. Index of capillary-trophic reserve is calculated from the expression (I CTRVN): I CTRVN=[("ИРЛ")×DV]×100%, where CR - consumed reserves during compression probe, calculated from the expression, CR=√[(RMinit.-RMmin)/(RMmax-RMinit)+(SO2init-SO2min)/(SO2max-SO2init)], where RMinit - rate of basic intraocular microcirculation in pf. units, RMmin - minimal intraocular microcirculation rate in pf.units, RMmax - maximal intraocular microcirculation rate in pf.units SO2init - rate of basic oxygen saturation in %, SO2min - rate of minimal oxygen saturation in %, SO2max - rate of maximal oxygen saturation in %, t - duration of time from the end of the probe to reaching primary levels of RM and SO2, in seconds, DV - degree of vascularisation VN, calculated from the expression: DV=N/T, where N - number of blood vessels per "ДЗН", T - width of VN in mm. With values of I CTRVN equal to 100% and more absence of AVN is diagnosed and preservation of capillary-trophic reserves of VN, with values less than 100% - presence of AVN and reduced capillary-trophic reserves of VN. Whereat with I CTRVN equal to 99-80%, reversible changes of trophic parametres of VN are diagnosed; with I CTRVN less than 80% - irreversible capillary-trophic changes of the trophic parametres of VN and absence of capillary-trophic reserves of VN are diagnosed.

EFFECT: method widens range of means for present preclinical diagnostics of atrophy of visual nerve in tender aged kids.
