FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine and is applied in cancer treatment by brachytherapy. Capsule carrying radioactive source is connected to guiding cable; capsule includes squeesing site with smooth-wall cylindrical cavity for cable end reception. Cable features solid cylindrical end with annular grooves made by micromachine processing and used for connection. Capsule is compressed at squeesing site over the grooves, with cylindrical cavity wall deformed around the grooves to form connection to them with high extension strength.
EFFECT: elimination of welding process required usually in other variants of cable connection.
