FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: there is disclosed polyorganoacetoxysiloxane process with terminal acetoxygroups characterised by 4-64 organosilxane links in polymer, involving reaction of acetoxy- and organosiloxanes with alkylcyclotri-, -tetra-, -penta- and hexasiloxanes or their mixture in molar component ratio 1:(1-16) respectively. The reaction product is heated to 70-100°C with a catalyst represented with mixed sulphuric and acetic acids. Upon completion of reaction, sulphuric acid is neutralised with sodium acetate to separate an end product of yield 83-93 wt %. Owing to high adhesion of polymers, the products are used as cross-linking agents for hardening of various compounds, and as sealants and heavy duty revetments.
EFFECT: development of technologically safe and simple polyorganoacetoxysiloxane process with controlled length of siloxane chain and terminal acetoxygroups.
