FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing polymetallosiloxanes of general formula [R¹ _nSiO_(4-n)/2]_1-40[MO]₁[RO]_0-12[R²O]_0-12[OH]_0-9.6 (where M denotes Ti or Zr, R denotes methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, n-butyl; R¹ denotes alkyl C₁-C₈, vinyl or phenyl; R² denotes methyl or ethyl; n=0-3) in which a mixture of metal alcoholates of general formula M(OR)₄ and alkoxysilanes of general formula R¹ _nSi(OR²)_4-n, where M, R, R¹, R² and n assume values given above, undergoes acidolysis at temperature 20-105°C in the presence of a lower carboxylic acid as a reagent and a strong mineral acid as a process catalyst, taken in amount of 0.01-0.2 wt %, with molar ratio of reagents M(OR)₄:R¹ _nSi(OR²)_4-n:R³OOH=1:(1-40):(1-68), where R³ denotes hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, with gradual raising of the temperature of the mixture to 135°C in order to distill off volatile components, returning the latter to the cooled reaction mass, followed by neutralisation thereof, filtration of the mixture and removal of volatile components from the end product.

EFFECT: obtained polymetallosiloxanes have uniform distribution of metal in the polymer and given ratio of silicon to metal, which facilitates their use as catalytic additives, heat stabilisers and heat-resistant coating components.
