FIELD: physics; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: proposed Coriolis flowmetre comprises first and second vibration sensors of measuring tubes, to which are connected a cable line. The signal input device, connected to the cable line, generates reference signals with the same phase and, possibly, the same amplitude and transmits them to the cable line and the first and second sensors. The cable line is also connected to the signal processing circuit, which receives response signals from the cable line and vibration sensors in accordance with reference signals, determines the difference between response signals and uses that difference to compensate for the effect of characteristics of the sensors and cable line on the measurement signals. The signal processing circuit also uses first and second response signals for detecting circuit break or short circuit in the cable line and sensors, as well as for automatic regulation of amplification. The input device and the processing circuit are components of the electronic unit of the Coriolis flowmetre.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement.
