FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: measuring electronic equipment (20) for detecting faults in the cable system (205) of a Coriolis flow metre (5) having first and second sensors (201a and 201b) and a drive (204) has a device (203) for generating and transmitting an input signal to the cable network (205) and first and second sensors (201a, 201b), and an exciting circuit (220) for generating and transmitting an exciting signal to the cable network (205) and drive (204). The signal conversion circuit (202), which is connected to the cable network (205), is configured to receive a response signal from the first and second sensors (201a, 201b) in response to the input signal, or in response to the exciting signal, and determination of the fault in form of a breakage in one or both cables of the first sensor and on one or more cables of the second sensor and connection alignment error of the sensor, or a fault in form of breakage of the cable of the drive and connection alignment error in one or more cables of the drive.

EFFECT: invention increases accuracy and reliability of measurement due to automatic detection of faults in the cable network of the flow metre during measurement.
