FIELD: physics; measurement.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to analysing devices, meant for scanning indicator paper with a test sample. The portable device for scanning and analysing employs a combined scanning head. The combined scanning head contains a light-emitting diode matrix of a light source and a photodiode matrix of a sensor, which are placed at 90 degrees or 45 degrees from each other. After completion of reaction of the taken sample with the indicator paper, the paper is scanned using the scanning device so as to obtain optical signals with alternating intervals along the scanning path to generate the corresponding testing signal. The output signal of the scanning device is then transmitted to an amplifier. The amplified testing signals are then transmitted to an analogue-to-digital converter, where they are converted to digital form and sent to a computation module for processing and analysis, resulting in generation of an objective analysis result. The computation module is connected to a controller, which controls a setting device, which in turn controls the device for scanning the indicator paper.
