FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: microfluidic device for preparing a blood sample for analysis comprises a substrate including opposite first and second sides; a chamber extending into the substrate from the first side to the second side to the base. Chamber comprises protruding elements forming a wall of the chamber; and a main channel extending along at least a portion of the chamber wall along the chamber base. Chamber has a conical shape so that the chamber narrows inward from the first side to the second side, the projecting elements include overlapping plates forming the chamber wall. Main channel is located between the plates forming the wall and the base.
EFFECT: preventing the spread of infections.
