METHOD OF URETHRA FORMATION IN EXPERIMENT Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G09B23/28 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns experimental medicine, urology. Two-stage operation is performed. First stage involves mobilisation and hydropreparation of anterior urinary bladder wall. Anterior urinary bladder wall is dissected up to submucous layer. Bed is processed by fibrin glue, and dura mater membrane allotransplant is placed in the bed. After fibrin glue application, urinary bladder wall is returned into place and fixated along the perimetre. Second stage over 1 month involves resection of urinary bladder wall with allotransplant. Edges of obtained flap are processed with fibrin glue. Last flap is tubularised with its mucosa inside and positioned in subcutaneous tunnel, fixating tube ends to the skin of anterior abdominal wall.

EFFECT: fully functional urethra formation, possible physiological method of urethra formation for small experimental animals, prevented cicatrical tissue formation, reduced urethra lumen.
