FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention deals with Peltier effect based thermoelectric devices. The invention concept is as follows: the proposed thermoelectric device contains a heat conduit fabricated of a highly thermally conductive material. The heat conduit is mounted between the thermoelectric module cold junction and the cold heat exchanger. The heat conduit is designed in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped one of the bases thereof attached to the surface of the heat exchanger plate of the thermoelectric module cold junctions with a thermally conductive paste or glue. The other heat conduit base is connected to the cold junctions heat exchanger. The heat conduit height is defined depending on the temperature gradient between the heat conduit bases, the heat conduit base area, the heat conduit material thermal conductivity coefficient and the thermoelectric module cooling capacity.

EFFECT: reduced leakage of heat from the hot heat exchanger to the cold one; increased temperature difference between the object being cooled and the environment as generated by the thermoelectric device and the thermoelectric device power consumption reduction.
